On May 31st 2009, the third annual Japan Day was held at Central Park in NYC. Over 40,000 gathered on the East Meadow to enjoy the highly publicized event listed #1 on Time Out New York. Activities ranged from musical performances to food stands to our Wellness Checkup Tent! Numerous volunteers from JMSA and JAMS'Net spent the day working the tent, providing health screening services for the New York community. Volunteers included physicians, nurses, students, and many other healthcare professionals. JMSA had a strong representation by board members and scholarship recipients. Positive comments such as, "It's really nice to see so many Japanese people working together for a good cause" were abound. Please click "Read more" to view photographs from the event.
