Japanese American Community leaders led by Ambassador Yamanouchi came together to show our support for FDNY as a tribute to 9/11. With support of many of these members, JMSA has been organizing 9/11-3/11 outreach, bringing people from two entirely different disasters, across pacific to support one another to move forward.
Message on a Wing, a children’s storybook of how a 12yo’s wish for peace in the form of paper crane came across to bring survivors of 9/11 and 3/11 together was presented along with 1,000 paper cranes. We hope it would help our children see the strength in people despite the adversity.
