With generous support from various faculty physicians and student leaders in both the United States and Japan, we were able to recruit roughly 40 medical students and physicians as participants on the day of the event! This event consisted of three parts. In Part 1, Dr. Oishi, a former JMSA Student Representative, gave an insightful presentation on the ERAS application process for U.S. residency matching. Part 2 featured a live Q&A session with Dr. Yuichi Shimada and Dr. Robert Takahiro Yanagisawa. Part 3 offered a case-based learning session led by current JMSA Student Representatives. We sincerely hope that the two-hour event was meaningful and valuable for all who joined.
